The SAR 15T series is a modernized iteration of the renowned AK-47 platform. Currently in use by the Turkish Armed Forces, the SAR 15T series is noted for its lighter weight compared to traditional infantry rifles, and it features a modern design with a high-strength polymer magazine reinforced with steel components, as well as a butt and stock. This series performs exceptionally well in all climatic conditions and offers a semi-automatic firing mode. The SAR 15T series is available in two versions: one with a folding telescopic butt stock for easier carrying and one with a fixed stock. Chambered in 7.62×39 mm, this advanced assault rifle delivers a firing rate of 650 rounds per minute and a muzzle velocity of 680 m/s, operating with a gas piston-driven system.
