Like any wood, the wood stock of your weapon absorbs water and is exposed to wind, weather, and constant temperature fluctuations during hunting. Moisture can penetrate, which, when dry, can cause the stock to warp or even crack. The result: the point of impact is no longer correct, and the weapon’s shooting performance is impaired.
SCHAFTOL® optimally preserves the rifle stock and protects it from all types of weathering, especially from roughness and staining. The stock will become darker and more beautiful the more often you repeat the SCHAFTOL® treatment. Even a small amount is enough to achieve the desired effect and highlight the natural grain.
As a purely natural product – free from solvents and animal oils – Schaftol Special Oil is also ideal for the care of precious woods on antiques and furniture.
SCHAFTOL® shaft oil is available in 5 colors:
- Light – for light shafts that should not darken
- Reddish brown – for shafts with a reddish brown hue
- Dark – for the walnut shaft
- Extra Dark – for particularly dark shafts and for re-dyeing during shaft repairs
- Gold – to emphasize the grain on light-colored shafts and to achieve a golden yellow finish
